Understanding Microscope

A microscope is basically composed of

• lenses

• volume to control stage up and down, and left and right (x-y and z axis).

• light source

• heavy and stable body

• Leeuwenhoek first used water drop as a lens for his microscope.

  • and he never told anyone, how he made his lenses!
  • This fact was very interesting to me because we are learning biology in an open way by contrast.

There is an inverted microscope in the lab, something I couldn’t find in an elementary school. This can see the bottom side of the object, and the size of the object can be bigger than a normal microscope.
